Podstawy przed rozpoczęciem poszukiwań

Przed rozpoczęciem poszukiwań należny uzyskać pisemną zgodę od właściciela gruntu. (przykład umowy LINK). Dobrze jest przystąpić do jakiejś organizacji, klubu zajmującego się poszukiwaniami np. National Council For Metal Detecting. Zapoznać się z przepisami dotyczącymi zabytków i znalezisk archeologicznych Portable Antiquities Scheme.

Dobrze jest filmować swoje znaleziska i oznaczyć miejsce w którym zostało znalezione np. robiąc zdjęcie smartfonem z GPS, automatycznie mamy zdjęcie przedmiotu i położenie geograficzne. 

Wszelkie znaleziska wartościowe archeologicznie należny zgłaszać do Portable Antiquities Scheme e-mail info@finds.org.uk, lub telefonicznie 020 7323 8611.

"Poszukiwacz  Skarbów" zobowiązany jest do przestrzegania przepisów Treasure Act and Treasure Act Code of Practic

W przypadku napotkania na materiały wybuchowe lub szczątki ludzkie należy powiadomić policję i właściciela gruntu.
